Fall Hiking

One of my favorite Fall hikes is up on the Sangre De Cristo mountains. There you will get some amazing photos of the Aspens in all their Fall glory. The smell of the air is amazing and the sky is the most beautiful shade of blue.

I agree... this is a perfect portrait in yellow and blue. Clear, crisp colors of aspen in the fall -- Not like the weather in SoCal last night or Atlanta this morning!

I really need to get up to the mountains before this beauty is gone for the year.

You got a great contrast, that blue of the sky and the yellow of the leaves are highly alive.

The name of the range is so evocative, now I'll be humming a specific song all day... Beautiful.

How wonderful to hike and get both sight and smell. The photo works on so many different levels: love the angle and the colour contrasts. Our fall colours are also ablaze here in Mn. but we don't get both visual and olfactory which you describe.

Now that's what I call beautiful! I'm so jealous.

Looking forward to the weekend?

This is so interesting because our daughter lives in Cotopaxi, Colorado at about 9,000 feet and she has a beautiful view of the Sangres from her front porch!
