Jacob Salazar


The is the work of Jacob Salazar. Jacob is a Santero (Saint Maker)which is a Spanish tradition that back centuries. As you can see the craft is still alive and thriving in New Mexico. Those are really impressive. Looks like he uses the existing shape and twist of the wood in the carving which adds something to the finished piece.
