One of my favorite Winter events is held at the Santa Fe Children's Museum. There is drumming, hot cider, cookies and this labyrinth made out of Faralitos. It's a great way to welcome in Winter.
I like the idea of a Winter Solstice Festival. I wish there was something like that here.
Yes, there was a courthouse lighting event here just after Thanksgiving. We don't go to that anymore as it has gotten way too crowded for us old folks ;)

Happy Winter.
I like this, Randy!!
Hello winter. There, that's out of the way. Now, I'd like to say "Bye, winter."
hahahahaha
What a neat thing to do, nothing like that here, we have had really warm weather for the first day of winter.
This is such a beautiful image.
how pretty!
Looked like a runway from the thumbnail photo.
Hot cider and cookies may be good and the labyrinth is very nice!

Nice night shot! Hope you are going to post more pictures of this festival.
We celebrated with a massive ice storm which still continues here Sunday at noon!
Sounds like a fun event to me.
Love it. Now the only question that remains is whether you danced or not...
How nice to be a part of the celebration! Wonderful shot!
How beautiful! What a nice way to welcome winter.
