Where the water flows

This is one of my favorite spots along the Aspen Vista Trail. This is where the creek normally runs in the spring. It's covered in snow and ice now but if you stand really quite you can hear the water flowing under the ice. Talk about peaceful.

Lovely -- we've visited a few creeks in the past few days and it's so beautiful to see the running water amidst the snow.

Oh, I just love snowshoeing out in the woods, winter changes things so much.

Such a beautiful scene. Peaceful and serene. The snow is good, I'm sure, as it means water will flow in the spring.

Nature walks in winter are the best. BTW my two oldest daughters were in Santa Fe this weekend for a cooking class. I am green with envy.
