Teach Me

"Earth teach me to forget myself as melted snow forgets its life. Earth teach me resignation as the leaves which die in the fall. Earth teach me courage as the tree which stands all alone. Earth teach me regeneration as the seed which rises in the spring. - William Alexander

Happy Friday everyone!

Earth teach me to avoid hitting the trees as I ski through. Nice one.

What a beauty, Randy. Such a sky, these clear blue ones are so wonderful to experience.

About Portlandia, actually that's the name of the statue. And it's the name of a TV show shot in Portlandia which does all it can and then some to maintain one of Portland's mottos: Keep Portland Weird.

That's a lovely poem -- we really can learn so much from the earth and nature.
