Theme Day: Movement

Theme Day is here again. This month's theme is Movement. I chose the Santa Fe river as my subject for this theme. It's not often that you see movement in our little river but this Summer's rains have kept a little bit of water moving though it. Someone built this carin close to where the river passes a small park in town.

I thought it was a statue at first, it is keeping watch on the stream. Our streams are starting to carry leaves now.

Water is movement, stone is stillness. I like very much your beautiful image for this theme day!

We could use some of that type of movement out west here.

A very beautiful choice for the theme day. I love that so many people have used water in their shots.

I always wonder who builds the little rock cairns. Sometimes they appear as if by magic.

That looks so peaceful, Randy!

It looks peaceful. There's a guy who sets rock sculptures up like that in our area; I haven't been over there this summer.
