This is only a small sample of the pumpkins being sold at a local church. There were many sizes and shapes to choose from. Do you carve a pumpkin for Halloween or do you just have them around as Fall decor?
It's that time of year. I haven't carved a pumpkin since my kids were young, and that was a long time ago. If I remember right, it is a messy business.
After the kids grew up and moved away we bought a plastic pumpkin with a small light in it and have used that every year since... Though I do miss the roasted salted pumpkin seeds!

Nobody decorates for autumn here let alone carves any.
Love the light in your photo, so warm!
A number of churches in this area also sell pumpkins. I guess that is a good fund-raising project. We don't buy them, though.
Make a pie!
It is not hugely popular here, but year after year we see more pumpkins around. I love the seeds, salted and roasted!
We keep the tradition and always manage to have at least a pumpkin around...
Nice shadows.
Love the shadows in these. Great shot!

neither one. :)
I just enjoy them in their natural state or in pies, Randy! ;-)
An interesting play of light in this photo.

I love seeing the pumpkins everywhere but, I don't carve one or use it for decor.
I carved them when I was a kid, but not since. A lot of people in my area put them out though.
Now that my kids are older, they are just fall decor.
Just fall decor. I love this shot.
Nice bright colorful picture!

Down here in Naples, there isn't much celebration of Halloween, at least in the part of the city I live in.
Nice shot Randy.
