In the Distance

Yesterday I went out on a hike on one of my favorite trails. Mr. Weatherman said it would be sunny and 70 degrees. About 30 minutes into the hike I was be hit with rain and extremely cold sleet. Needless to say by the time I got back to my car I was pretty wet. Still I think this shot was worth it.

This shot is worth it all.
Spectacular aspen scene.
Makes me feel like I'm there,
in the middle of this beautiful vista.
Really nice, Randy.

Nice bit of color. I don't watch the weather much anymore but just have my own look at the radar.

It looks a bit like a barrier to further travel down the trail.

Love the shot, Randy! The weather people sometimes play tricks on us. I'm glad you are getting out for hikes now before winter hits hard.

I agree with you, but hope you have learned that Mr. or Ms. Weatherman often don't have a clue!

Come see me at http://www.landlfotos.com/blog.html if you get a chance.

As long as you knew you could walk back safe to your car...
Beautiful colors worth it all.

I'd frame this one. I hope you had a hot cocoa to warm yourself up (cursing the weatherman? :-))

A beautiful shot with just a spot of color.

Sorry you got wet, but you did see some real beauty.

I love to see the aspen trees in the mountains. It looks like yours have already lost most of their leaves.

Thanks for your kind comment, Randy.

Ugh! Don't get me started on weather prognosticators... Ha ha!

Your wet hike was worth the effort as evidenced by this nice picture you've posted!
