Canyon Road Paint Out IV

I spent quite a bit of time watching this painter while he worked. He made it look so easy but I know if I tried to paint like him the end results would not look as good.

If you can get switched to right brain, it is easy, that is the key.

I, too, envy talented painters.

I often wonder if artistic ability is an inborn trait or can it be learned? I've always kind of felt that people are probably born with that gift.

Randy, here's what I said to myself as I looked at your post today: Randy, Randy, Randy. Oh, boy! It's the same thing I've said to myself throughout this series. Thanks!

Isn't it amazing how easy they make it look? I've tried and it's never any where near as good. But, I'll keep plugging along to see if I get any better.

He has an eye for choosing appealing colors. Would be interesting to see the finished canvas!

I can see why you would have spent a little extra time watching this artist. As you say some make it look so easy...

Great shot Randy -- it is frustrating at times when an artist makes it look easy... then we found out how difficult it is! :)

People who know what they are doing always make it look so easy! And then you try to do it and realize the truth. ;-)

I love the colors in this.

Painting is deceptively hard. I once thought I would take up painting after I retired, but I have now decided that I am unwilling to go through the stage when everything is terrible and amateurish.
