Spanish Market - Carrying On Tradition

Meet Miguel Strunk. Miguel is 18 years old and working on carrying on the family tradition of Straw Applique. This is a collaborative piece that he worked on with his grandfather. Listen to his grandfather talk about Miguel was so wonderful. You could just see the pride in his grandfathers face and here it in his voice.

What a sweet photo! I wish that I had been savvy enough to go early on the first day so that I could have made a purchase from one of the young artists. Lovely piece he made with his grandfather!!

I'm not familiar with straw applique - will have to google it. I think one could go crazy buying treasures at this market, Randy!
