I said the words "three fourteen" in my head when I saw your photo but word "fourteen" was at a little higher octave than the "three". What an interesting reaction to your photo.

A fine set of old gates! Can't help but wonder who hung those gates? Appears one was measured in centimeters and the other in inches!
