Acequia

This Acequia (waterway) was in front of the house from the first gallery stop. I guess this is what they use to water the apple orchard. Wouldn't it be nice to hear the sound of the water from your house?

So beautiful, Randy. Love those muted colors. We used to hear the sound of water running at our house. Of course, that was when the kids were young and they forgot to turn off the faucet! :-)

It would be really nice, I live near the water, but it doesn't flow much...

Yes, I very much like the sound of flowing water. :)

I would love to fall asleep listening to the water.

It certainly would Randy, this series of autumn shots has been wonderful.

Such a peaceful scene you have captured! I've always been fascinated by the hand dug acequias. What a great way to bring water from a spring to the people of a village!

This is such a tranquil photo. I would love to be sitting on that porch sipping hot apple cider.

It's very beautiful and calming. How lovely it would be to hear water from one's home - had that at one point and it was wonderful.

Acequias are a great source of water and life for houses and vegetation. I have drunk water from several acequias when I was a child in my Perú. Hugs.

I have a river in front of my cabin, where I spend the summers. And I hear it constantly. Is very soothing.
