Sunday Color

"I will be the gladdest thing
Under the sun!
I will touch a hundred flowers
And not pick one."
~Edna St. Vincent Millay

This was taken at a gallery along Canyon Road. Have a peaceful Sunday.

Love that blue around the window. Colors in Santa Fe are wonderful.

Good morning, Randy! Enjoy your walk today...I'm going to Santo Domingo to see their Arts and Crafts Fair. You captured a great scene on Canyon Road with an appropriate poem! After the Museums last Friday, I, too, took a stroll there among all the sightseers, and ate my way up and downy the streets. The gallery receptions served some pretty good food.

Millay was from Camden, Maine, a beautiful coastal town. If you ever get to Maine, put Camden on your "must see" list.

Wonderful! That blue does work so well against adobe. And the flowers - lovely!

Beautiful post. You have indeed "touched" these flowers and not picked one.

That's my house. It's been in my family for 200 years. We lease it to the Smith's who run the gallery there. Nice shot.

I love the contrast between the wall and the flowers. Canion Rd. is a show by itself!

Oh, this one is right up my alley. Love the stucco, the color on the door, the flowers!!!

PS: I knew as soon as I typed "door", I really should go back and check to make sure it wasn't a window. Just my luck. :)

This is a beautiful picture, one worth framing Randy! The quote is also so meaningful on so many levels. Apply that to people, and the world would be a better place, yes?

Warm hugs, friend!
