Found Balance

I caught this at a campsite that I came across while out hiking. It reminded me of this quote:
"Happiness is not a matter of intensity but of balance and order and rhythm and harmony." Thomas Merton

Happy Sunday!

Cairns are fascinating. My kitchen windows have small cairns on them to remind me of one of my favorite places, Door County, Wi where I have spent many happy hours. I like yours quite a bit and wonder if it has a special meaning for someone?

I wonder how long it'll remain standing.

Meaningful Quote and photo. May we all have Balance and Happiness in all we do, and the Patience to stack our deeds carefully.

How true. Trying to imagine who did that and why. Also, who will knock it down and why.

don't we all need more of that in our days?

That's actually pretty cool Randy, wonder how long it took someone to get the right balance and if they felt relaxed or grrrrrr! after the experience! I hope it stays that way for a long time, loved the quote, perfect for the image.

Excellent. Balance is not easy - esp. as you get older.

Once I tried New Balance shoes. Fell on my derriere. :-)

This is great. I like this kind of stone figures, saw them a lot in Canada (BC) in 2009.

Impressive, Randy. It is hard to understand how it remains intact, not a victim to winds or vandals.

Always find stones piled like these interesting. Like your words Randy.

Hiya Randy. Nice take on the balance factor. I do love cairns- not just for the cool way they look... but for the way they are placed by strangers as guidance along the way on some desolate trail. Sorry I haven't been by lately.. my internet connection has been sporadic at my sublet & still busy hunting for a home...

How true, and the simple fact that someone left this rock stack waiting for you to find it. Great post.
