Hotel La Fonda De Taos

Historic Taos Plaza dates back to this time and 1820 saw its first “La Fonda” (Spanish for “the Inn”) on the Plaza in the form of a mercantile store that also rented rooms. This historic location is where you will find the La Fonda de Taos today. The hotel is also home of the world-famous D.H. Lawrence “Forbidden Art” Collection. The paintings are on exhibit in their own gallery in the hotel.

Ahhh, the La Fonda, a great place to stay or have lunch in the gorgeous interior atrium room with all of the painted glass. Each hotel room has so much individualized art work painted directly on the walls and hallways and individual pieces of art in the rooms. The location is perfect as you can walk out to the square and local restaurants. Thanks for a good memory. I need to get back to Santa Fe one day! I signed up as a follower and look forward to more photos.

It looks spruced up, or am I wrong?
PS. I think Julie's in the wrong NM town.

I love this place. I stayed there when I was a senior in high school. Now that is a long time ago.
