Little Snow Drifts

Last evening the wind was blowing extremely hard. When I woke up in the morning there were these little snow drifts everywhere. The light happened to be perfect around this time so I snapped this right before work. Needless the say the ice on the roads was really bad. They actually had to close the freeway from Albuquerque all the way to the Texas border.

Lovely. We are under frigid snow, too, Randy.

I like very much this kind of picture, especially if they are B&W. Did you try?

The weather is kind of crazy the last 3 or 4 years- isn't it? Love the pic.

I love the photo. But your description of the weather makes me shiver. I hate wind. Especially cold wind. Must have been really bad to close the highway!

Stay safe and warm!

I also see footprints in the snow!

This year has been a tough weather year in so many states.

I like the light in this picture. =) I heard people trying to make it to Farmington from ABQ had to turn back at Cuba.

That wind was here on Sunday making it feel a lot colder than it really was.

Lovely little light-catchers, Randy. I'm glad you made it to work OK. And I'm glad I haven't seen any snow in person this winter.

Pretty patterns in the snow, Randy.

Interesting how the wind can sculpt the snow.

We had that wind too and the snow was so dry it was blowing all over. All gone now though.

cute little snow bumples. :)

here in NE Tx, we had no snow or rain or ice or anything - but we got that horrendous wind for the 2nd day now!

It looks beautiful, though your winter is sounding pretty cold. Safe travels to work!

We got a bit on the hills, but we have some sun again...

The same storm is heading up here and is supposed to hit Toronto overnight. I'm sick of winter although it is fun to get cool snow shots like this one!

That's a lovely, lovely photo.

The footprints are quite big... compared with the flower pot...
