Folk Art Market II:Beads from Ghana.

If you love making jewelry you would have loved these beads from Ghana. The artists colorful clothing was not to be missed either.

I heard a story on NPR yesterday about this market in Santa Fe. They told about how beneficial it has been for these craftsmen who, because of globalization, are not able to make a living in their own countries with these crafts any longer. Because they are able to sell these items in other countries, they are able to continue traditional crafts and make a good living doing it. Wonderful!
