Madrid parade.

Yesterday I attended the Madrid 4th of July parade. Madrid is an old mining town about 30 minutes south of Santa Fe. The town is now mostly an artist community. It sits on HWY 14 which is known as the Turquoise Trail and is a favorite highway of motorcycle riders. I will be posting some photos from this charming little community parade over the next week. So I will start with this one, it's the first time I had ever seen a Yak at a parade.

Madrid is different, no doubt about it! But, I guess I should stop yakking and move along to another blog!

I thought it was a mini-buffalo! What a hoot! Love the old geezer, too. And that's not a put-down. In fact, I've been called an old geezer. But my friends call me the Old, Crippled, Blind Man or OCBM for short! :-)

Lowell said...

Ooops, I forgot to mention, those friends who call me OCBM - I usually beat them at golf! Heh, heh!

Where does one even get a yak? A very distinctive parade.

Yaks on parade...sounds like it should be a Dr. Seuss title.
