This weekend I went up to Los Alamos for a hike. One the way home I stopped by the Bradbury Science Museum. It was a great place to learn about the history of Los Alamos and the Manhattan Project. To find out more click on this
link. My stop was a quick one so I am going to have to go back again when I have more time.

j'aime le choix du nom de Bradbury pour ce musée. un bel hommage a un grand ecrivain
When I read the word "manhattan project" I think of the movie and the danger of nuclear materials...
The museum seems very interesting for the children.
Very nice. You've posted some particularly interesting shots of late. I'd be interested in seeing more of this place.
Re your question about McAlisters: Yes, the food is quite good; we stop in there frequently.
So glad I discovered your blog.
I've always loved Santa Fe and the surrounding mountains -- just never get a chance to visit (as much as I'd like). So now I get to visit your blog.
Yay.
Seems like a good place to vist on a dark rainy day!

I wonder how the museum got it's name. I think of Ray Bradbury when I see that name. This would be an interesting place to learn.
No doubt an interesting stop.
science museums are so much fun. we had one in balboa park (san diego) that i just loved to go to as a kid, even as an adult!
Museums are fascinating places I agree Randy.
You know, that is someplace I would really like to visit. I was in Roswell for a few days. And I absolutely loved the movie "Fat Man and Little Boy".
This is rally interesting, I hope you can show it to us sooner or later...
I agree, perfect for a rainy day visit.
a very nice entrance.
the museum has certainly 'grown-up' since the last time I visited!
A friend of mine's grandfather worked on the project. Thanks for the link and the look.
I think my husband would like to spend all day in a place like this.
At first I was thinking that it was named after Ray until I read the link. You'll have to go back!
There are so many interesting places around New Mexico. I would have to go in there.
Have you ever been to The Very Large Array over on Highway 60? We have taken all the grand-kids over there. (not all at the same time)
I recall visiting the museum recently...fascinating stuff.
Not an inviting entrance but I am sure it is exciting inside !
Los Alamos reminds me of western movies! :-)
