SF Rally

Yesterday all 50 states held a "Rally To Save The American Dream" and to stand in solidarity with the people of Wisconsin. It was quite something to see and to hear all of the speakers. This young woman was kind enough to show me her sign that let everyone know that New Mexicans support the folks in Wisconsin.

Lovely banner - even if I don't understand it. Cheeseheads?

My main concerns at the moment are so focused on Libya that I don't know exctly what's going on in Wisconsin although I've read some references to the subject here and there. I will search for it now. Any kind of solidarity is just great, nice capture!

A perfect comment from Santa Fe. Thanks for posting this since we decided it was too far to make the drive for a day, but were there in spirit.

I've heard a little about what's going on in Wisconsin, not much though.

What a great sign. I didn't hear anything about a rally here. I wonder if there was one.

Me again. I've already read all about Wisconsin. Being a foreigner I don't think commenting will be appropriate but I have to say I'm shocked.

Nice shot and it gives me some hope to see the young rising up against the chicanery, lies and unscrupulous corporatism that threatens to undo many years of progress in our country! The robber barons are back and are just as dangerous as ever! Or worse, 'cause they own the U.S. Congress and most statehouses!

She has a beautiful smile!
Looks like a funny day there!

Cool sign, simple and to the point too. American sign on her shirt to wrap it all up.

Clever sign. I saw a few similar rallies out this way. It is a nice gesture.

What a terrific sign. Is this one of the rallies organized by Russ Feingold's group?

That's awesome. Love her sign, too. ( I feel like I miss a lot of what's going on when I work on the weekend.) Hang in there w/ your class. I try to tell myself that there is some sort of learning going on pushing through the frustration part.

Yours is the second blog I've seen with other states supporting Wisconsin :)

I attended the rally along with 1200 others and saw this sign but could never get a clear picture of it.

Marvelous reportage and a great sign to boot.

this is very much appreciated. as of now, it is looking more and more like our recent election for a Wi. supreme court justice was highjacked by an overzealous supporter of the conservative incumbent - Justice Prosser. we aren't going down w/o a fight, and as my state senator says (he is one of the Wisconsin 14 - yay!) "this is a marathon, not a sprint". thanks for the support in solidarity.
