Ready For Warmer Weather?

So is she. This is another statue that is still floating Canyon Road. I thought she made a great shot with this little tuft of snow.

Realy funny.

I think we are all ready for warmer weather. In Germany today we had -6 degree Celsius. And as we wait for the warm, the cold feels even colder.

Nice shot. I must say now that our snow has melted and the sidewalks are not all icy, I am looking forward to warmer weather.

Wonderful point of view and juxtaposition. The line of snow makes a nice compositional divide.

She looks quite comfortable there and in contemplation on Canyon Road... I imagine that you are ready for the warmer weather. Never fear because spring is near or that's what the groundhog said - hah!

I hope that's a hot spring she has submerged herself in! :-)

Oh, to be floating down some peaceful river right in a tube with the sun on your bath - pure joy!

It took me awhile but I see it now. She's floating in an inner tube. Makes me wonder why the artist would choose that. It would be an ideal piece for here in California along the Russian River.

What an interesting subject matter for a bronze casting. I love seeing what other artists are doing... I need to peruse canyon rd a bit more perhaps? On one hand, I am ready for spring, though I wouldn't mind maybe one more good snow before winter is over!

She has pushed the snow away! :-) Very cool!

Our snow has long since gone, I'm amazed how long it hangs on for in the states!

I'd be afraid of tripping over her.

Did she appreciate your going down on all fours for her? :-) This is more surprising than the last one but I like it!

If I was that snow, I would melt under her pensive gaze! And yes, I AM ready for warmer weather... think you can arrange it?

What a fantastic sculpture! Never seen anything quite like it.

Great photo, too. I like very much how you got down on her level to make the shot! Hope you didn't sink without an inner tube, though!

Thanks for the nice comments!

That is a pretty odd sculpture, isn't it? I don't see it in my living room.

So unusual. Glad to see she's wearing a cap with a visor to protect her face from the sun.
Did your knees get wet from kneeling in the snow to get this shot?
