Hike # 5

Shortly after yesterday's steep climb I could see our goal, the top! There were a few more steep parts with more and more snow. Deep breath everyone we're almost there.

Where have I been?! (Probably hunkering down during this cold MN weather!) I've missed all those terrific hiking shots. Don't think I'd enjoy it as much as you are, tho! Wish I could send you some of our snow.

Deep breath? Heh, heh! I'd be gasping for air and hanging on to a tree to keep from falling down.

What a fantastically beautiful place!

Wasn't it cold, though?

Whew, can we take a break before heading back down? Let's enjoy the view for awhile. :-)

I think I'll just sit here on this log along with Jacob and rest. Come by and get us on your way back down.

That's one of my favorite parts of hiking. When you get that little glimpse of the summit and you try to figure in your head how much time is left. Nice shot. I really like this hiking sequence.

Nice job, Randy! It's such a beautiful day out with the fresh snow... and hey, we're headed for a heat wave today w/ temps in the low 20's! Can't wait to see your snowy pics to come!

Unless there is a nice trail that I don't see, that last bit is going to be rough!

I love that feeling of reaching the top. You must have some strong legs. Jacob's comment made me laugh.
