Last night was the lighting of the plaza. It was the first time I had been to it since moving here. The visit unfortunately didn't last long because it was freezing last night. Santa's visit was probably longer than mine.
You did a good job getting us a picture in spite of the cold. It was cold here last night too. I look kind of silly in my coat and scarf up next to tourists in shorts and shirtsleeves.
I know absolutely nothing about Santa Fe, so it's going to be fun watching this unfold. I loved the little lanterns...but I never knew it got cold there! Beautiful night photograph!
Growing up in Lubbock, Texas, the lumineros were always on the sidewalk leading to the front door of «Louis'» childhood home, courtesy of his mother - who got the idea from the lighting of the plaza in Santa Fe.
I love walking around the plaza at Christmas time! It's so festive. Christmas Eve on Canyon Rd, too. Though I think it was around 22 degrees last year.... brrrrrr! I'm taking a little blog break as I catch up w/ family & friends, but I'll check back in here & there. Hope you're having a nice holiday season, Randy!

Beautiful! It is a nice season for light-up, isn't it?
Una chulada de foto, como siempre un placer pasar por aquí.
Saludos y un abrazo.
Beautiful night lighting
Beautiful lights.
Pretty Christmas lights
Lovely colors on a grand scale.
Very fine night shot, Randy! Great lighting. I see the luminaries along the path, too.
Freezing doesn't sound good, though...
Have a great weekend.
Looks beautiful Randy. I know what you mean about cold weather.
What a lovely night light photo of the Plaza! When you say, "freezing" - do you means 45 degrees (by NM measure)?
By the way, "Lingonberries" are small, red, tart berries which grow on low bushes in Sweden. Easy to find them in jars at IKEA!
A really nice picture: those lights are beautiful!
There's something magical in Christmas decoration, don't you think? ;-)

Gorgeous! Like everyone else I wonder how cold it was? Our lighting takes place tonight at City Hall.
Love the lights. I am waiting for them to turn them on here : )
Oh, that looks so pretty - like Wonderland.
I love the time before Christmas, a good season for night-photography
Spectacular.
That's pretty! How nice to have a central place all lit up like that.
beautifully captured!!
The lights look like fairies lights - a wonderful scene.
Great night shot!
