As I was walking back to work from a meeting I caught a glimpse of this amazing shadow. It's amazing how shadows can be so large compared to the actual object or person. Have a happy Saturday.

The weather has been great this week. Canyon Road was full of tourist and art work. I caught this yesterday on my afternoon walk.

Long Shadows

This building is on my walk path. I happened to take a later lunch hour the other day and I was able to capture these great shadows.

T-Shirts and Chile

One thing you can find in most cities is a t-shirt shop that will draw the tourists in. Here in Santa Fe there is not shortage of them here. This one Strings and T-shirts is close to my office. The difference here at this shop is that you can buy a Ristra of chiles to take home with you too.

Fuzzy Boots

The last couple of days have been windy and pretty cold. The other day I saw this woman coming across the street, get a load of those boots. Have a happy Monday everyone.

Loretto Chapel

Now that the days are a little warmer more and more people are hanging out at the plaza. Seems that they are not the only ones. I can only imagine what it will be like when they re-seed the park.

This is the view facing east on the corner of Sandoval and San Francisco street. In the far distance you can see St. Francis Basilica.

Old Screen Door

This is something you don't see very often in the city, nowadays all you see are security doors. I came across this one in an old neighborhood. I love the sound of a wooden screen door.

On a Gray Day

On a day when the sun was hiding behind the clouds and the temperatures were still a little cooler I caught this couple shopping for some Native American jewelry. This jewelry artist can always be found in the same spot on San Francisco street. Wishing you a bright sunny start to your week.

When your standing on the corner of Palace and Lincoln looking northwest you will see the New Mexico Museum of Art. Face east and you will see the plaza. Wishing everyone a Happy St. Patricks Day! Don't forget to wear your green!

Big Screen Shooter

This woman was walking around the plaza earlier this week just snapping away with her iPad. It's amazing how many more people are walking around with these instead of a camera. I think they are great for a quick snap but if I were traveling I would want a good camera. What are your thoughts?

Long Week

 

As I was walking past the city library the other day I came across this gentleman sleeping on a bench. He did not appear to be homeless so I figured he was have the kind of week I've had TGIF! Have a happy one everyone!

A New Pope

I happened to be walking around during my lunch hour when the Vatican announced they had chosen a new pope. As I passed St. Francis Basilica the bells started to ring. They rang for well over an hour as I walked back to my office. I thought it only fitting to snap this photo of the statue of St. Francis.

Today is my midterm but I won't be back until tomorrow. After class I have to drive down to Albuquerque for the remainder of the day and evening. My company has opened a new office there and I have to set up for our Grand Opening. Have a great day everyone.

It's Not My Party

This party actually took place last Saturday but there were stickers on windows around local bars. Thank you all for the birthday wishes. I guess this person has alot of friends around town, or maybe not.

My Gift

Today happens to be my birthday. So yesterday I wanted to find my gift to myself, the first sign of Spring.  As I was out on my daily walk I came across this on Tulip.  There were others close by but they hadn't even started to bloom. I will just have to go by again in a few days to see if they are awake.

Just a reminder. My blog will be on automatic mode from now until Thursday. I am working on another website for my mid-term which is due Thursday. As of today it's progressing fairly well. I might be back Wednesday if all goes well tomorrow.
