And The Rain Came

After a while out in the sun the clouds began to roll in followed by the rain. Soon the umbrellas came out in a wide array of colors. No matter how much rain came it didn't stop anyone from having fun. Taos has amazing weather.

Over Here!

Don't you love concerts. You can feel the excitement in the air, some more than others. It is fun too people watch, the face painting, the dancing and the outfits.

Solar Music Festival

This weekend we attended the Taos Solar Music Festival. This large dreamcatcher with the festivals logo was part of the stage design. Over the next week or so I will bring you photos from our weekend trip. I hope you enjoy them.

Golden Church

No the church is not made of Gold. It's locate in the small town of Golden New Mexico which is south of Santa Fe and Madrid. It's a nice stop after a short drive on Highway 14.

Fresh Bread

Saturday is Farmers Market day for us. The folks from Cloud Cliff are always there with their fresh breads. They are so delicious that I couldn't even pick a favorite.

Sculpture

Every evening I walk Canyon Road and marvel at the art work in the galleries as well as the sculptures on the outside. I have been walking by for months now and somehow missed this one. I love the wings and the expression on the face. It's looks like the sculpture is taking in the sun light and that feeling gave it wings to fly. Happy Friday everyone!

HI IQ

Lately there seems to be more of these little Smart cars cruising around town. Even on of the major pizza chains here in town added one to their delivery fleet. I think they would be fun to ride around in.

In the Garden.

I saw this garden while visiting an artist's studio. I love the painted tree branches leaning on the house. Click on this one for a better view. The artist made the bird house standing in the garden.

Standing On The Corner

Standing on the corner of Don Diego and Cerrillos and you get a great view of Sangre De Cristo mountains. Cerrillos Road will also take you into downtown Santa Fe.

Market Bag

For groceries or just carrying around your favorite things these colorful bags from the Farmers Market just might do the trick. There so many to choose from but this is just a sample. Have a good week everyone.

In Honor of Fathers.

Here is to all of the fathers of the world who will do anything for their children. Even if it means have a Pink fuzzy backpack slung on your pack. I caught this guy at the Farmers Market and thought it would be a perfect Father's Day photo.

Something to Smile About

If you love to tour art galleries then Canyon Road is a must see. There are wonderful galleries for every taste. There are also some wonderful place to eat and enjoy a nice glass of wine or a nice cup of tea.

Santa Fe Walls

I pass this wall everyday on my walks and I never get tired of looking at it. I imagine if it were my home what kind of garden would I have. I love it because it just says Santa Fe. Enjoy your weekend everyone!

Not the normal bird on a sculpture that you would normally see but hey what else would you call it.

Georgia Would Love These.

In Collected Works there is this great fireplace and right above that are these antlers. These a pair that Georgia O'Keeffe would have hanging in her home or in her studio where she could paint them.

Whenever I am on the look out for a good book on anything New Mexico I always run over to Collected Works. They have a good selection on the history, the people and even the food of New Mexico.

Weekend Hangout

One of my favorite hang outs on the weekends are the bookstores in town and Collected Works is one of them. It's a great place to people watch too.

Where Are You Going?

If you like to ride there is never a shortage of paths or trails around Santa Fe. This is one of my favorite spots to pass through. I just love the view.

While your stiing in the bench from yesterdays post this is who is starting back at you. Yes the one and only Jimi Hendrix. Everytime I walk past it I always start singing Purple Haze.

Take A Load Off

The weekend is upon us. Time to sit and relax. You could always have a seat on this colorful bench outside of Warehouse 21 and watch the Farmers Market patrons walk by on their way to the market. You could also watch the Railrunner pass by and wave at the passengers. Either way have a good weekend everyone.
