Follow your Path

Life unfortunately is not on a lit path. But I hope whatever 2008 brought you it was along a path that brought you happiness and joy. This is another shot from the Faralito walk on Canyon Road.

Glowing Warmth

Here is another shot of the Faralitos on Canyon Road. As cold as it was that night with snow all around you couldn't help but feel a sense of warmth with all of the Faralitos glowing brightly.

Christmas Eve on Canyon Road

On Christmas Eve Santa Fe residents gather on Canyon Road to enjoy the lights and farolitos that adorn alot of the art galleries. Some galleries remain open and serve cider and cookies as people walk and sing Christmas carols. I love the lights on the chili ristras in front of Emilie Pooch. This store caters to our four legged family members.

Hope in the Snow

While walking the grounds at the Santa Fe Childrens museum I found hope sitting in the snow.

Losing Yourself

Click on this one for a better look. There is a feeling you get when walking through a labyrinth. You don't have to be lost in anyway but somehow you find something within your self. It was a good evening.

Winters Light

Here is another photo of the Winter Solstice celebration at the Santa Fe Childrens Museum. I was trying to capture the great winter sunset and the labyrinth made from luminarias.

Light of the Season

Luminarias or Faralitos as they are known here in Santa Fe are everywhere during the holiday season. The idea for these came from Spain and are popular in the Latin culture. They are usually made from a paper bag, sand and a candle. These were used for the Winter Solstice celebration at the Santa Fe childrens museum. I will post a few more photos from this event after Christmas, stay tuned.

Our Street

This is the street that we live on. This was after the last snow. By later on today this will look completely different. We are getting big winter snow tonight.

I Can Hope

This message was on the side of a train car in the railyard. I wonder if anyone who sees this over the holiday will be moved to do something good this season. I can hope I guess.
