Well this Theme Day caught me really off guard. Luckily I had this shot that I caught downtown a few weekends ago. Take a look at other "action" shots from my fellow Daily Photo bloggers: Click here to view thumbnails for all participants

Recycled Art Festival I

I almost forgot to share some of the photos I took at the Recycled Art Festival. This first piece of art work is by Lane Patterson. How would you like to have this Cowboy lamp in your home? Mr. Lane currently shows in galleries in New Mexico, California, and Arizona. He also shows at the Recycled Art Festival every year. Make sure to click on the photo for a closer look.

Covered

This is one of my favorite views as you drive down from the Sangre De Cristo mountains. All the yellow leaves are gone and part of the mountain had snow on it this weekend. I miss the colorful Aspens already.

Barely Hanging On

I saw these two leaves hanging on for dear life at the end of a couple of branches and it reminded me of ME so I decided to post it. I also loved the shadow too.

Speaking of hanging on. Today is the last full day of my class and I have to spend the week prepping for my final on the 5th. I wanted to let you know that I might not be able to stop by your blogs everyday. I will do my best to keep up but I didn't want you all to think I have forgotten you. Have a wonderful week everyone!

Vanishing

Photographers deal in things which are continually vanishing and when they have vanished there is no contrivance on earth which can make them come back again.
Henri Cartier-Bresson

Wishing you all a wonderful Sunday.

Back for More!

I still have a few more shots of the Canyon Road Paint out that I want to share. I love this artist painting of horses. She was great talking to everyone as they walked by.

Shadow

Character is like a tree and reputation like a shadow. The shadow is what we think of it; the tree is the real thing. Abraham Lincoln

I love shadows on adobe! Wishing you all a happy Friday and an even better weekend!

Being Thankful.

For each new morning with its light,
For rest and shelter of the night,
For health and food, for love and friends,
For everything Thy goodness sends.
~Ralph Waldo Emerson

Happy Thanksgiving for those who celebrates it and a wonderful day for those who don't.

The Webster Collection a gallery near the plaza is currently showing a wonderful photography exhibit by various photographers who had taken photographs of Frida Kahlo and her artist/husband Diego Rivero. It really is something to see. Check out the link.

Gone Overboard

As you will remember from Saturdays post I went to the Clay Fair. I told myself that I would add a new piece to my collection. Well to say the least and as you can see I went a bit overboard. I've added 5 new tiles to my ever growing collection! Do I have buyers remorse you might ask. Heck no!

Delicious Autumn

"Delicious autumn! My very soul is wedded to it, and if I were a bird I would fly about the earth seeking the successive autumns." George Eliot

High Stepping Reflection

I was out and about shopping when I caught sight of this reflection in the mirror.

Speaking of shopping it's that time of year for the Clay Fair. My favorite tile artist Kathleen Koltes will be there. You might remember the last ones I bought. Who knows what I might will come home with.

May your Friday be Golden

"A true photograph need not be explained, nor can it be contained in words."
Ansel Adams

One of the many reason I love the Fall, the golden color of the leaves. Wishing you all a very happy Friday.

Getting Low

Sometimes you just have to get low to capture the right color combination.

Nothing New

Someone asked if I went back to see how the empty canvas in yesterdays post was developing. After making several passes along Canyon Road the only thing I saw was people sitting around and talking with the artist. After the third pass I just moved on to see the other artists.

Just the Beginning

I captured this mostly for the light and the colors on the palette. If you could paint like any artist whose art work would yours resemble? I would like to paint like Amedeo Modigliani.

Painting Adobe

Here is another artist working on his painting of a adobe building on Canyon Road. Wishing you all a good week!

Colorful

This is one of the artists chalk tray that I shot during the Paint Out weekend on Canyon Road. When I saw it I thought of all you. You all bring me such joy with your colorful comments and the wonderful photos you post each day on your blogs. I appreciate every single one of you. Have a wonderful Sunday!

What Weekends Are All About, Fun!

I love this sculpture. I found it in an area on Canyon Road that I have only ventured to a few times. It's the perfect reminder that we need to not take ourselves so serious all the time. It was a great reminder of what it was like to be a kid and just have fun. I hope your weekend plans include a little fun. This is what I am doing for fun today.
