Kiva Priest

This sculpture by Robert Dale Tsosie sits right outside the sculpture garden on Museum Hill. It reminded me of Georgia O'Keeffe's painting Black Cross New Mexico. This would be great in a nice big Spring garden.

It's Time to Relax

I came across this couple relaxing after visiting the museum. I wonder if she was trying to blend in with the snow. It's Friday and time to relax, have a great weekend everyone!

Museum Hill Courtyard

I love the view from the Folk Art Museum out into the courtyard. Its beautiful now but in the spring its really amazing.

Museum Visit

We spent Valentines day on Museum Hill, mostly for the Harry Fonseca opening. His paintings are so beautiful and breath taking. For the opening they have Valentines day sweets for your tasting pleasure. My favorite was the Chocolate cake!

The Flying Star Cafe

Can I interest you in a big Blueberry pancake, or maybe a Black Bean burger for lunch. The Flying Star is the place. This is another of the restaurants in the Railyard District.

Ready for Spring

Acutally I think this tree looks good bare with it's adobe backdrop but I am sure it is ready for the Spring to come so it can bloom again.

A Love Story in Santa Fe

Happy Valentines Day everyone! This year the Lensic theatre is showing the classic love story Harold and Maude on the big screen for one night only. Lucky for us we were able to get tickets. Wishing you all a day full of love!

On Water Street you'll see this building where you will find a fun bar called Tin Star Saloon. There is also a small store for those who like to work with yarn, Oodles Yarn and Bead Gallery

Patches

We were supposed to get more snow today and yesterday but the sun decided to shine down on us instead. There are still some big patches of snow around town like this one on the side of the building where I work. Have a great weekend everyone!

One of our luxury hotels in the heart of the city. Your always greated by cowboys at the door. Its nice to sit on the patio right off the bar and watch people walk by.

Evening Blue

Shortly after the snow fall ended on Sunday evening the sky took on this beautiful blue color to it. Evenings are prettier after a snowfall, at least I think so.

I shot this photo about a month ago. A similar version of it ran in today's New York Times travel section. Their version had someone standing under the water tower with the Railrunner passing by. I tried to link the story but it just wouldn't work. Sorry.

Country Road 84

This is a view of county road 84. This is the same road that the horse from yesterdays post lives on. It's particularly beautiful in the spring.

Sleeping Underground

Under this patch of white there is a little prairie dog community that is hibernating waiting for the Spring to come. In the Spring and Summer you can see this little guys running, playing and eating the local shrubbery.

On a Hill

This is a view of some of the homes that I see every morning from the parking lot of my place of employment. I like the way some of the homes are built on small hills around here.

The first of the month seems to come faster lately and this one caught me off guard. It's Theme Day here on City Daily Photo and this months theme is Wood. Luckily for me I was up near the ski basin yesterday and I caught this Snowboarder flying up to the top of this wooden picnic bench and sliding off.
