The Santa Fe Reporter is our local free indenpendent newspaper. Most of their boxes our downtown have some sort of graffiti on them. This is one of my favorites.

Sleeping It Off

Unfortunately when you have a liqour store not far from your gallery this might become a common sight. This guy seems to think this spot is his. This is not the first time and probably not the last time he can be found here.

The Meyer Gallery on Canyon Road has these marvelous sculptures of children perfect for any garden. This one happens to be one of my favorites.

Cold Reflection

The reflection is of the gallery next to this one. If you look close you can see the thin layer of snow that is lining the top of that building. Happy Friday everyone!

Time for some Travel

Taking this shot the day of our last snowfall has inspired a bit of travel for my birthday.

I am going back home to Arizona for a few days. I won't have a computer where I will be so I won't be visiting your blogs but I will have posts scheduled until I return on Sunday.  

I do hope you will visit while I'm gone.

Blue Gorilla in Snow

Blue Gorilla, a sculpture by artist Don Kennell is a new sculpture in our Railyard Park. It's a pretty large sculpture and hopefully you can get an idea based on the trees and light poles. You certainly can't miss him as you drive by and it really stands out with the snow.

I captured these while walking around the Railyard park. Needless to say I was pretty much the only one out there.

Adobe Window

Nothing completes an adobe wall like a window in my opinion. If your going to have a nice garden and you want people to see it, put in a window to share the beauty.

Finally!

The snow that was forecasted all week finally arrived Friday night and off and on Saturday. Yesterday was warm so it did not stay around long. By noon there were only traces of it around town. Luckily I spend most of the day walking around taking some shots. This is just the beginning.

March Theme Day: Aging

It's theme day here on City Daily Photo and this month's theme is Aging. Honestly this months theme caught me off guard. Luckily I live close to our train station where there are is an old Santa Fe Southern engine (pictured here) and a few old train cars.
