Festive Tents

After the rain slowed to a sprinkle people started to mill around and shop again.  Each tent is decorated with festive things your might find from around the world.

Not all spirits were dampened by the rain storm. These two were playing away and having a great time. When they were done there were quite a few smiling faces around, even your's truly.

And the Rain Came Down

The day that I attended the International Folk Art Market the skies were gray.  I boarded the shuttle that would take me to the museum where the market is held.  Just as the bus arrived at the market the rain came down in buckets.  By the time I walked from the shuttle stop to the market gate I was drenched (anything to protect the camera). I got in only to find masses of people huddled under the tents and not looking too excited to be there.  Needless to say I was one of them.

Let The Music Play

While walking to the park to watch the Folk Art Parade I caught sight of this young woman playing the piano outside of Warehouse 21.  Oh and the bright colored vest, I think she's supposed to be directly people. Guess it was break time.  Enjoy your Monday!

Summer Evening Sky

The evening skies are always a suprise during monsoon season. You can wake up to clear skies and as the afternoon goes by the sky starts to fill with beautiful skies.

Skirt or ...?

After the parade was over I caught sight of these three walking aournd.  Not sure if the guys were wearing a skirt or sarong. What do you think?

And We Bid The Parade Adios

Mexico was the at the end of the parade.  This hat would be perfect for a fiesta but not one I would wear everyday. Wishing you all a happy Friday.

It was wonderful to see all of the different artist from various countries as walk along the parade route.

Let The Parade Begin

This is the parade of all of the visiting artist from each country at the International Folk Art Market Community Celebration.

Dr. Field Goods

There was a nice variety of food to be found at the International Folk Art Community Celebration.  I chose Dr. Field Goods and their Pork Tacos.  The good doctor also has a restuarant not far from where I live. #drfieldgoods #folkart #santafe
