Thorns and Snow

I love the mix of desert landscape and snow. I would not want to back up onto this plant though.

They are certainly unexpected companions Randy, but together they make a unique image.

We had a HUGE one at our former home. Here in our new location I brought some with us but kept it confined in a big pot. Yes, one could easily poke their eye out when they are BIG. I would cut off the tips just to prevent that from happening.

Usually you do not imagine a plant like this covered with snow!

Quite a contrast between the plant and snow. My mother had one of those potted in the house.

I'm amazed that they survive in snowy weather!

Why am I seeing jaws eating whipped cream?

Snow and a desert plant in the same picture, not something you would normally expect to see!

You have back-to-back beautiful images that required you to look and compose carefully. Well done.
