May Theme Day: The Creative Artisan

Theme Day has come again and this month's theme is "The Creative Artisan." With the warmer weather there have been people outside capturing the new colors of Spring. I saw this artist who was out painting and instead of washing his brushes he just wiped them on his pants. Maybe it's a new kind of wearable art.

Ha! I would sometimes do that when I was in art school. I had some very "artistic" clothes by the time I graduated. Great shot, Randy!

Perhaps he is selling his pants for more than he bought them for...:-)

I still have trouble with the word artisan: I thought it was a very different and opposite thing from artist!

And I'm always so careful not to get paint on my clothes. Who knew?

There is more than one work of art going on there for sure : )

I like this style! This could become the new fad.

Oh, thank goodness. I've seen lots of examples of art by artisans, which I could never duplicate, but if these pants indicate an artisan, I could do that with no problem!

I love this, Randy! I have jeans that look just like that although they also have holes in them.

Nice interpretation of the theme. If you're going to get some paint on your pants, might as well go all the way.

This a great picture to celebrate the new season + theme day! Love the splotches of color on those well-worn jeans.

Randy, that is a perfect shot for "creative artisan" theme. I had a friend (painter) who used to wipe her brushes under her arm... It was a funny-looking t-shirt indeed!

All of the painters I know 'dress' like this! The paint is more important than the clothes :-) Nicely done.
