Roasting Red Peppers

Matt Romero is a wiz when it comes to roasting chiles. The other weekend he brought a big crop of red peppers and was roasting them at the Farmer's Market. The smell was pure heaven. I can't wait to see what will be cooking today.

Roasting peppers by the roadside must smell sweet. Did you buy any?

Roast peppers are delicious! I roasted some myself last night, for a cous cous salad :-)

Me encantan los pimientos asados. Hasta ahora no había visto asar pimientos en plena calle.

Un saludo desde España.

It is chile season, isn't it? One of my favorite times of the year!

I have a wonderful pasta recipe that calls for roasted peppers. I bet these would be way better than the ones in the jar.

Greetings from cold France! This looks so much like summer, pity peppers don't like me...

It's hard to pass by without stopping to taste and bring some home!

Did you buy any? Isn't it interesting how smell can be so tempting. It's a good thing TV commercials can't broadcast a sense of smell!

I think it's pretty cool doing this right on the street. Or is it a market or something of the kind?

Oh, Matt Romero is terrific. Great shot of the roasting peppers. I try to roast mine as he instructed but they just are NOT the same!
