Pumpkins Talavera Style

Now if you want a pumpkin that won't rot and one you can use again year after year then you'll want one of these Talavera pumpkins. I caught these last week while walking around downtown. I decided later in the week to pick one up and I was too late. This store had three shipments during the month and sold out as soon as they put them out. Better luck next year. Happy Halloween everyone!

I've got a big ceramic pumpkin but it's nowhere near as beautiful as these!

I'd buy one of those. I didn't know that type of artwork was called Talavera. I continue to get smarter by reading blogs! Happy Halloween.

I like a lot! And I much prefer these to the "real" ones that soon stink to high heaven! Have a great day!

A great idea! No messy carving. :)

Now that is a jack-o-lantern that I could live with. I guess it's best to grab one when you first see it.

I hope you found your costume. The spider in my photo was not on his hat, it was on the wall behind him.

I love these -- I have a big box of Talavera tiles but haven't a clue what to do with them yet. :)

I can readily understand why they sold out so fast; they're wonderful jack-o-lanterns. PS. I googled the quote that I had on Guevera's post, and it is attributed to BOTH Guevera and Zapata.
