Saturday Spring Color

Our weather has been crazy here in Santa Fe. One day it's cold the next it's warm. The Spring color is everywhere and hopefully the cold won't kill it. The weatherman is forecasting snow for us on Sunday.

Flowers on Friday.

This statue is outside of the Patricia Carlisle Fine Art gallery on Canyon Road. They always have such beautiful flowers in the front yard and so far the blooms have been lovely. Happy Friday everyone!

Embudo Designs.

Want some color in your kitchen? These colorful artistic potholders are the product of artist Joan McDonald from Embudo Fabric Designs. You can find them all over town, the Farmer's Market and on their website. We have a few at home and I can tell you one thing they hold up well after coming to close to the fire.

Let It Bloom

Not a very vivid shot and I am not even sure what kind of tree it is. I did however like the shadow of it on the adobe and the clouds above.

Passionate About Coffee?

Some people just have to have it first thing and others don't care when but it has to be good. These people obviously love their coffee.

Shoot'em Up Panda

While out on my walk yesterday I was looking down an saw this Panda with his guns blazing. Good thing I saw him I could have lost an ankle. Have a great start to your week everyone.

Spring time Color

These beautiful flowers and tree are part of a garden in my old neighborhood. I always make it a habit to walk by here every Spring just to capture shots like this.
For those of you who celebrate Easter I hope that it's a happy one. By the way don't eat the brown jelly beans. For everyone else have a wonderful Sunday!

Like Sunshine

This is one of my favorite gates in the city. I really love the shape and that wonderful shade of yellow. The donkey decor is pretty cute too.

Still Bare

There are still some trees that have not blossomed yet. I found this one not too far away from yesterdays tree. I thought it would be a nice post for Earth Day.

Pretty In Pink

Don't you just love Spring time blossoms? I saw this beauty while walking around the community college. They are coming up all over town right now.

Bare

I found these bare bones behind the bare branches of this tree while on a walk.

Canyon Road Ride

It was a beautiful day on Sunday and people were all out and about. Even these two brightly clad gentlemen were out for a ride on Canyon Road.

Blooms

Lets start our week off with a little bit of color. I really like Tulips and they are in bloom all over town. The only sad part is that they don't last very long. But hey a little bit of happiness is better than none at all.

Three Colors

I love the different colors that you find on adobe here in town and I love it even more with a little Turquoise thrown into the mix. I hope your Saturday is a colorful one.

Bad Week Reflection?

Talk about being shocked! I thought I was looking at a reflection after this long week ha ha. I found this stenciled art just outside of Warehouse 21. Read more about this great organization here.

Clouds III

Here is the last in my clouds. I was actually focusing on the tree in the courtyard of the Palace of the Governors that was starting to get green. Behind the tree is the New Mexico History Museum. I just love Pueblo style architecture.

Shortly after leaving the museum I walk by the plaza. It was pretty chilly so there weren't many people out enjoy a Spring day. There were a few clouds flying by though.

Clouds

This weekend was a little cold and cloudy. These fluffy clouds spent most of the day hanging around town. I caught this one while going to the New Mexico Museum of Art. They have an exhibit that I wanted to see called Cloudscapes. I was dying to see some of the Ansel Adams and Eliot Porter photographs. The exhibit did not disappoint.

Window Frame

Yesterday I came across this wonderful old window frame. The sun was coming through perfectly adding some wonderful shadows on the wall. May your Monday come and go quickly.

Mary

I almost forgot about this photo from my last trip to the Rancho De Taos mission. I thought she would make for a good post today. She looked mystical against the beautiful blue sky.

Smart and Colorful

On the way home yesterday this colorful little Smart car pulled up next to me. I only had a few seconds left on the red light to get my camera out of the bag and snap the shot. It was a hilarious few seconds but worth the effort.

Waiting

What do you do when your waiting for the train to pass and there is nothing on the radio to sing along to? Take out your camera and snap a shot or two. The clouds didn't look that threatening but we did end up with rain this evening!

Blowing In The Wind

Sunday was pretty windy here in our lovely Santa Fe. The daffodils were standing strong but the tree that casted the shadow didn't fair so well as you can tell by the blur.

A Monday Kind of Feeling.

It starts with an early morning meeting and ending with a class until 9pm. Be kind Monday.

I had to run down to Albuquerque yesterday to get some shopping done. While walking along this outdoor shopping center and came across these posters. It made me think of what we all need a little more of. Happy Sunday everyone!

Two

This old abandoned house sits on the edge of town. I see it every time on my way to the college. It's in pretty bad shape but I think with a little tender loving care it could be a great house.

Theme Day: Edges

Theme Day has come again to CDP and this month's theme is Edges. One thing I love about the Ravens that I see around is that they always seem to be sitting on the edge of something. A building, a fence or as you see here the edge of a lamp post. I shot this on while in Taos a few weekends ago as I was leaving the museum.
