Ellie's Yoberri

The gate from yesterday's post is at the entrance of another of my favorite places in town. Ellie's Yoberri in my opinion has the best frozen yogurt in town. It's not uncommon for me to make at least two trips in a week for some of their Classic Tart yogurt.

No, no, no! You cannot do this to me! Frozen yogurt is one of my favorite things ever, and we can not get it here! What about the aerial food drop you once suggested for marshmallows, Randy? Could you have the military fly me in some yoberri? Arg!!

p.s. I'll take a large strawberry with lots of sprinkles or white chocolate macademia. Got that?

It seems yummy! The sign looks nice on the blue sky of Sanata Fe!

Randy, I always wandered if you read my 2 posts about Santa Fe (2 and 3 October, 2010) :)

Love the sign, twice a week seems quite fair for something like this...

I would love to pop in there for a yogurt... I imagine that they stay quite busy... nice angle on this photo and the contrails across that vivid blue sky are lovely.

The backdrop of a beautiful blue sky certainly enhances the picture.

I'm very proud of your ability to restrain yourself and only go two days a week. Looks like a place that might have the potential to become an everyday stop. :)
It's Thursday!!

Love the sign....but I think I would like to just go in and eat. Picture of your next bowl please?

Actually...I've been thinking. Why don't we all just come down to visit and celebrate with a bowl. What a picture that could be.

I'd be happy to join you at least once a week if I lived in Santa Fe!

In this case the sky replaces the fantastic blue details you've been showing. Just great!

Happy Thursday Randy. Sounds yummy. One of these days I've got to get out & try some of these places you post. ( I have yet to dine @ the place on the corner w/ the chicken sandwich you recommended!) Almost TGIF for you...
I'm working all weekend- yikes!

This is making me want some yogurt! I love the blue sky in this shot! Very nice!

I agree, it's interesting how the Tammany Society picked it's name. From what I know so far, the real Tammany, Chief Tamanend, was a leader of a tribe somewhere in the Mid-Atlantic who ended up selling large portions of land to William Penn. These vast tracts of land would later become were Philadelphia was founded. A group of Quakers who set up a fishing club picked Tamanend as a sort of patron saint to their organization. Some time during the Revolutionary War, a group of colonists wanted to pick a figure to rival the English's Saint George and Saint Andrew. They picked Tamanend and carried flags with his likeness on it into battle. By the end of the war, a sort of lore was established about Tamanend. He was said to be a friend of America who lived somewhere to the west of the Appalachians; a man who discovered bread, tobacco, improved the bow and arrow, taught people how to make canoes, created the Great Lakes, and even to have fought the devil for 50 straight days in hand to hand combat(Looks like Chuck Norris has some competition.). Many former soldiers from the war would start to create societies in various cities with the name Tammany in it and one of these ended up being the one in New York.

Neat sign and I am sure the yogurt is delicious, but more interesting to me is that there is not a soul on the road or sidewalk...except you.
