Yesterday we woke up to a cold snowy surprise. It snowed most of the morning but shortly after noon all of the snow was gone. It wasn't even in the forecast.
Beautiful shot. It makes me think of a trip I took to Denver a year ago in September. During the night it snowed all night and the ground was covered with around 6 inches of beautiful thick snow. By 5:00 when I headed to the airport it was almost all gone.

That's one of the "surprises" I've always dreamt about!
The snow seems to have surprised quite a lot of people in the U.S. and even in Europe.
