Pumpkins Talavera Style
Now if you want a pumpkin that won't rot and one you can use again year after year then you'll want one of these Talavera pumpkins. I caught these last week while walking around downtown. I decided later in the week to pick one up and I was too late. This store had three shipments during the month and sold out as soon as they put them out. Better luck next year. Happy Halloween everyone!

Musician On The Corner
I was standing on the corner of Water Street and Don Gaspar Ave for this shot. I was looking around and I noticed this musician also looking around. I wonder what he was looking for, inspiration maybe? Have a great start to your week everyone.

Do you?
I caught this one at the Farmer's Market and that bag caught my eye right away. What about you do you like to read. I do like a good book and I try to read in-between semesters. Right now trying to keep up with my technical textbook it's a miracle if I can make it through a magazine without nodding off. It's not pretty.

Roasting Red Peppers
Matt Romero is a wiz when it comes to roasting chiles. The other weekend he brought a big crop of red peppers and was roasting them at the Farmer's Market. The smell was pure heaven. I can't wait to see what will be cooking today.

Metal Giraffes
These wonderful giraffe sculptures are the work of Fredrick Prescott. There is a wide variety of animals to choose from for either outside or indoors. Check out Prescott Studios here.
I forgot to mention, my favorite of all of Mr. Prescott's sculptures are his Moose sculptures. I would love to have one for my yard.

Finale
This was the last of all of the balloon flying above me. I liked the design and how the balloon stood out with deep blue sky as a background.

Is He Looking At Me?
Just when we thought the special shapes here all up in the air, this shark popped up and overshadowed the little duck.

Whoa!
Well that's what you would say to a horse pulling stagecoach, but what do you say to this cow? Probably "moo-ve it I'm flying by." Unfortunately the cow didn't make it any higher than this. Earlier in the week it had a hard landing on a city street and it may have caused some damage. Have a great start to your week everyone!

A Kiss for Luck
This is my favorite special shaped balloon. They make an appearance every year and they draw always draw a big crowd. The two on the right are attached while the one on the left flies solo. When it came time to lift off the middle one actually turned and kissed the one on the right. That was the first time I've seen that happen. I guess it was a special kiss. Have a great Sunday everyone.

The Joker
This balloon is one of my favorites in the non-Special Shape category. In the evenings there are night glows but there is one night when they have a Special Shape Glowdeo. That is my goal for next year. Have a great Friday and a fun weekend everyone!

Pardon Me
The field was so crowded and full of balloons that there was alot of bumping going on. I think it made for a good shot in this instance.

Balloon Fiesta #3
And what seemed like a blink of an eye they all started pop up everywhere. If you have a favorite you had to run from one side of Balloon Fiesta part to the other.

Balloon Fiesta #2
After the Dawn Patrol launched the first of the balloons started to inflate as the sun came up. You can still see the Dawn Patrol up in the sky.

41st Annual Balloon Fiesta
Saturday was a late night but I managed to get up at 3am to drive down to Albuquerque for the 2012 Balloon Fiesta. Needless to say I have been walking around like a zombie all day bu I think I managed to get some good shots. This is the Dawn Patrol getting ready to start the day. I hope your week is spectacular.

Lucky Me!
Last night I was at fund raiser that my company sponsored for the Farmer's Market. The food was prepared by local chefs from all over Santa Fe as well as the drinks. The silent auction was amazing ( I even won an amazing photography book about horses). And just when I thought the evening could not get any better I got the chance to meet Lisa Law. Ms. Law has photographed iconic images of Janis Joplin, Dennis Hooper, Bob Dylan and the Beatles. While at our table she autographed a book of her for me. Needless to say it was a GREAT evening. Click on the link to check out Ms. Law's website.

Smoky Reflection
This is one of my favorite reflection shots that I've taken so far. This is one of the local cigar shops. Personally I can't stand the smell so this was like a hit and run. I hope you all have a smashing weekend full of fun and something exciting!

If
Well tonight is my mid-term. The website is complete but nothing fancy. I only hope it doesn't fail during the presentation. If I look as good as this wilting flower after this week it would be a miracle. Well there's no turning back now. Until tomorrow everyone.

San Francisco Street Bar and Grill
One of my favorite places to eat downtown is the San Francisco Street Bar and Grill. I really like their salads and a friend of mine says they have good hamburgers. I'll take their word for it. **Sorry I missed your blogs today. Still working on my mid-term website. I would say I am a little over 50% done. Two more days left.

Color and Light
"I knew, of course, that trees and plants had roots, stems, bark, branches and foliage that reached up toward the light. But I was coming to realize that the real magician was light itself." - Edward Steichen

Delicious Autumn

Lunch Hour
Lately this is what my lunch hours consist of, studying. While I was out at the park the other day I was reading when this leave fell on my book. It was a great reminder for me not miss the beauty that was surrounding me. I hope you see something beautiful this weekend enjoy.
**On a side note, I have a mid-term coming up where I have to build a website from start to finish by next Thursday. I will try my best to visit your blogs but if I miss it you will know why.

Fall Colors Reflection
I took a hike on Aspen Vista trail this weekend. I caught this shot just before a few dogs ran up for a drink. I do love this time of year and the colors that can be found.
