I was riding around town the other day and came across this guy singing away on the street. First time I've seen this guy. Maybe he's new in town. Check out those boots.

Charro

This cowboy mural is right inside the doorway to the Del Charro Saloon downtown. No matter when you walk by you will always find people enjoy a snack with their cocktails.

The Spanish Table

Another place I like to visit is the Spanish Table. They have wonderful imports from dinnerware to foods and music. And it's within walking distance to my house.

Monday, Time for Work.

While out and about yesterday I saw these three working away at the pollen in this tulip. It reminded me that Monday was right around the corner, work a my class starts up again after Spring Break. I could use one more week. Happy Monday all!

San Francisco de Asis Misson Church

Every time I travel to Taos the trip would not be complete without a stop at this famous church. The San Francisco de Asis Misson church has been photographed and painted by many a famous artist. Read more about this beautiful adobe church here.

I caught this reflection on the window of the William Siegal gallery. The Siegal is a Contemporary art gallery next door to our Farmer's market and close to where I live.

Signs of Spring

While out for my daily walk I looked up and there is was, the first sign of Spring. I love the look of the Forsythia plant. Especially when it's next to an adobe wall. Have good day everyone!

Open Air Art.

Scott Carlson is a potter up in Arroyo Seco. I love the way he markets his work just above the sign for his gallery. I think they look great with the blue sky as the backdrop.

Trash Talk

This decorative Turquoise trash can was sitting outside of the Red Cat Antiques from last Saturday's post. I thought it would be more suited for a garden but it was still being used as a trash can.

Monday Treat

If your looking for great gag gift why not give some "Taos Bear Poop." They are really chocolate covered peanuts that I found at a gift shop. I hope your Monday doesn't make you feel like a chocolate covered peanut.

Black Cross, Blue Sky

After dinner in Taos I was walking around the plaza when I noticed the evening sky and this cross designed by local artist Ted Egri and placed on the plaza in honor of the many people of Taos who died in the Bataan Death March during World War II. It made me think of "Black Cross New Mexico," one of my favorite paintings by Georgia O'Keeffe. Enjoy your Sunday everyone.

Frida & Me

While shopping in Taos we went into our favorite store called Red Cat Antiques. I was walking past this mirror and as I looked back I noticed this Frida Kahlo lampshade in the reflection. No matter where I stood there was no way of staying out of the reflection so I ended up in the shot.

Arroyo Seco

This is the road that I walked along in the village of Arroyo Seco last weekend. It's a place that I love to visit and plan to go again in the summer. There is nothing like walking on a quite road with beautiful scenery. Happy weekend everyone!

"Don't Fence Me In."

While on a highway in the northern part of New Mexico I came across this wonderful horse. Right away the Cole Porter song came to mind and it stayed stuck there for most of the day.

Taos Clay

One of my favorite pottery studio/gallery is Taos Clay. I love to see all the new pottery created by local artists. I love their display of mugs just below their sign too.

But Honey...

While walking around the Taos plaza I heard this raven squawking at his/her mate. She wasn't looking to please with him as you can see. Shortly after I heard this a man and woman were exiting a store and I heard the guy say "But Honey!"

Wonderful Weekend Memories

I'm back home in Santa Fe but I am still going to post more photos from my trip to Taos. It was a wonderful weekend and all of your posts on birthday made it that much sweeter. Thank you all again for your wonderful comments.

Jumping On My Horse!

I'm still out here in the country just north of Taos. While taking a walk to enjoy the peace and quite I came across this noble steed waiting for a cowboy to ride off into the sunset with. He looked a little to wild for me.

The other weekend we were enjoying brunch when the train from Albuquerque pulled in with a load of visitors. I caught this budding little photographer while he was taking a picture of his mom and dad as they posed for him. It was like watching Mini Me in action!

Surprise!

As I was leaving class Monday night it was snowing like mad. By yesterday morning everything was covered in white. I captured this snow covered bush on my way into the office. By noon it was but a memory.

Saturday I was on my way to the computer lab at the college when I heard a raven call out to it's mate. I looked up and there she was waiting. No sooner had I caught the shot he flew by and she was off to his side.

Smile It's Saturday!

I was having lunch at one of my favorite places downtown a few weekends ago and I saw this pink ball floating by. Luckily the guy stopped to speak with someone so I quick grabbed a shot. I think he might have been a street performer or on his way to an exercise class.

End Of The Day

Ellie's Yoberri

The gate from yesterday's post is at the entrance of another of my favorite places in town. Ellie's Yoberri in my opinion has the best frozen yogurt in town. It's not uncommon for me to make at least two trips in a week for some of their Classic Tart yogurt.

Decorative Shadow

Leaving one of my favorite establishment the other day I notice the shadow that their gate was casting on the wall. Thank goodness it's Wednesday. I hope your week has been good so far.

Theme Day: My Favorite Part Of Town.

It's the first of the month and another Theme Day has come to City Daily Photo. Today's theme is My Favorite Part of Town. When I first came to Santa Fe the first place I visited was Canyon Road. I love all the old houses and all of the art galleries that line this historic road. Maybe from all my post you've already gathered that. But I had to share it again, it is one of the loves of my life.
