The Dance

This is a shot from a dance that was performed by some dancers from the San Juan Pueblo during the summer. I am finding all of these photos from previous events that I never posted. Who knows whats to come. TGIF.

Too Much Partying

I almost forgot about this photo. This is a photo from last months fiestas here in Santa Fe. This big guy was worn out after partying hard that day. I think he drew a bigger crowd that most of the musicians. Cameras were clicking away all around him.

I love the colors of fall. I didn't get to experience them much while living in Arizona so I am I really facinated by the colors. Hoping everyone has a great start to their week.

Sleepy Sunday

Click on this one or you'll miss it. This cute dog was out and about on the plaza but he didn't care much for the crowd. He just wanted to catch a for winks. Wishing everyone a peaceful Sunday.

Riding the Trail

Just before the leaves started to change we had taken a hike up on the Sangre De Cristos. While hiking on Aspen Trail we met up with this man, his horse and his dog.

Colors of Fall

I took this photo at the beginning of Fall. Now most of the leaves are gone from this plant but I still wanted to share this one with everybody. Have a great weekend everyone!

Fresh Waters

Or Agua Frescas as they are called here and in Mexico. They come in different flavors but my favorite is Watermelon. You mostly find them around town during special events.

Flavor

This farmer really knows how to market his Garlic. This would look great in anyone's kitchen but I am sure that the flavor would be great in any dish.

Want Color?

Everyone needs a little color in their life. Hopefully this photo will put a little color in your day. I love the choice of flowers that you can get at the market.

Watching while Roasting

Of course once you buy your Green Chile you going to want them roasted. This guy was watching the crowd passing buy the Farmers Market while roasting some Green Chile. There is nothing like the smell of roasting chilies in the air.

Green Chile

The Green Chile season is almost over, but you can still smell them roasting through out the city. Green chile a staple in most homes here in Santa Fe. Its right up there with Ketchup and Mayonnaise

Saturday Sunflowers

Just when I thought their season was over I came across these beautiful Sunflowers in my neighborhood.

Desert Flora

Click on this one for a better look. I almost walked by this plant when shooting along Hwy 14. I love the color of the purple flowers. Another great weekend coming up.

Just North III

I wouldn't want to be underneath this rock if it fell. I think there is something meditative about this rock.

Just North II

Alot of this area is fenced off so you have to take most photos from behind a fence.

Just North

This is one part along Hwy 14 that I like to stop to take photos. There are some great rock formations here. This is a few miles north of Cerrillos and Madrid NM.

The road South of town.

Highway 14, one road that leads south of Santa Fe on the way to Madrid New Mexico. You always see alot of motorcycles on this road. In fact if you have seen the movie Wildhogs with John Travolta, this is one of the road traveled in the movie.

Museum Courtyard

I just love the courtyard at the New Mexico Museum of Art. It's so New Mexico.

Sleeping Downtown

The Eldorado hotel is another place that tourist stay when they come to town. Its located within walking distance of downtown. Its also near my favorite Yogurt shop!

Walking

This is the view of San Francisco street as your walking towards downtown. Wishing everyone a great weekend.

Turquoise Windows

Just another shot of our wonderful Blue sky over these Turquoise trimmed windows.

Behind a Wall

While walking through my neighborhood I have always noticed this wall and wonder what was behind it. Turns out its this nicely landscaped courtyard.

Need a Ride.

If you don't want to walk you can always hit this guy up for a ride around town. Looks like he's trying to read the newspaper while waiting for a customer.

Chamisa

This beautiful yellow shrub grows everywhere around town. It is the enemy for alot of us who have allergies, lovely but deadly for alot of people.

Stop In

Alot of the museums includeing the IAIA are free to New Mexico residents on Sundays. The title fit right in with the Stop sign in the backround.

Railyard Park

Near the Farmers Market and the Railyard this park is a great place to just hang out on a sunny day. Happy Saturday.

Out for a Ride.

This little guy knows how to keep his balance. He really seemed to be enjoying his mid-day ride with his owner. Have a great weekend everyone!

Theme Day: Contrast

Once again its the 1st of the month and that means Theme Day. Today's theme is Contrast. This sticker is definitely not how we feel about tourist and the way they dress. Tourism is big business for us here in Santa Fe. Someone must have really been bored. If you don't look up you will miss these stickers.
