La Chiripada

The Dixon area has a few wineries, La Chiripada happens to be one of my favorites and I make it a point to visit every year. This year I came home with a new white wine, Embudo Blanco. It is an apple wine that is tart with a hint of sweetness made from locally grown apples.

  1. Hello Randy.
Brazil produces a good wine in the south. I guess the wine to which you refer should be excellent.

    I liked the picture.

    Good weekend.

  2. For one that lives in Tuscany I am not a great wine drinker, but I'd like a taste of this one!

  3. Looks such a pretty building. I didn't know you could make wine out of apples, I thought it was only cider. I wonder what the difference in process is?

  10. I can think of all kinds of cooking opportunities for a wine like that.

  11. I would like to try that wine, I haven't tried one like that. I used to strongly dislike wine and now I find myself drinking it now and then.
    Have a good weekend.

My grandfather loves to make his own wine and I think he tried making apple wine one year.
