I am not sure who the artist is but I love this silver bird sitting proudly on this metal cactus at the Wilford Gallery on Canyon Road. I just wanted to bring a little sparkle to your day.
Had to laugh; not to disparage the sculpture but it reminds me of old stovepipes. Hope it's not too hot for the shiny bird! Have a great week-end, Randy!
That is a pretty cool creation. Makes me want to go down to Home Depot and get a bunch of duct work and create my own. The bird really makes it. Think that would not be availible at HD though.
A silver bird on a metal cactus. Fantastic! Great idea.
I've just noticed 'The Weeping Camel' is among your favourite movies. I LOVED it! There are some really awesome movies from that part of the world (Middle East included).
Isn't he shiny and pretty! I love that type of wind sculpture I see in the background. What are you doing up so late?
ReplyDeleteYou certainly do have some unique statues around your way Randy. This one makes me feel it is just so 'Santa Fe'.
ReplyDeleteThis is so nice. It is interesting. All metal is nice idea.
ReplyDeleteSparkle you did.....please pass the shades!! I like it!
ReplyDeleteThat's art.. I love it.. :)
ReplyDeleteI have one of these above my terrace, the author is a a plumber and my bird is a real gull!
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm wondering what's beyond that fence in the background.

ReplyDeleteThat bird is fantastic - I love it!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you told me it was a cactus. hahahaha
ReplyDeleteUnusual bird! Did it sang, Randy?
ReplyDeleteI am now sporting a big, bright smile! :-) Have a great weekend Randy!
ReplyDeleteI fun, unusual sculpture for sure! I bet it could even survive and thrive here in EAGAN, Minnesota!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great piece Randy!
ReplyDeleteVery cute bird!
ReplyDeleteI rather like that cactus. It shouldn't "bite" you if you sit on it. And the bird is to die for. I'd buy that in a second!
ReplyDeleteWhen could I imagine a silver bird could be so cute?!
ReplyDeleteSo creative! We have plenty of stove pipe and I would not have thought of making a cactus out of it!
ReplyDeleteThat will sparkle a day.

ReplyDeletePretty cool.
ReplyDeleteThat is definitely some bling! Wouldn't want to pass this on the side of the road while driving in the sunny desert. Hope you have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteI Love it!! And it looks like he/she fabricated the metal pieces themselves - great imagination and craftsmanship.
ReplyDeleteTus esculturas son muy originales. Un abrazo
ReplyDeleteChubby little shiny bird. Sweet!
ReplyDeleteThis is so shiny and cool with this bird sitting on it.

The whimsy is charming. Saguaro and bird seem perfect for the southwest...but wait? Do you have saguaros in Santa Fe?
ReplyDeleteSculpturally interesting! :)

Now, do I like this or the dancing sheep best. Perhaps it's the folded bison.
ReplyDeleteLoving all the art you've featured on Canyon Road. I have one or two of my own on my desktop.
