Rust & Reflection


Across the street from yesterdays post are the Lena Street Lofts. The Treehouse Pastry Shop and Cafe are part of this business complex. While on my way there I caught sight of this reflection in the window. I also love the rusted siding on this part of the complex. Wishing you all a marvelous weekend!

    That rusty siding is wonderful, Randy. And it goes so well with the adobe and turquoise in Santa Fe. Ah... a delight for my eyes!

    I'm a big fan of rust (only in photographs, of course) but I'm somewhat amazed that with Santa Fe's dry climate there is enough moisture to promote rust in your climate. Perhaps someone helped nature along to create a great visual effect.

    I see this kind of siding being used more and more lately. When I was a kid, you would only see this on out buildings and storage facilities.

    Rusty metal instead of adobe? How did they ever slip that one by the city of Sante Fe? Great stuff.

    Rust...I can't get enough of it. It somehow gives me a feeling of eternity. I don't know why that is or where that feeling comes from but it elicits "forever" when I see it and depths that go on and on...

    I forgot to say that I when I blew the photo up to really check it out, I noticed the reflection on the front of the car. That one is incredible...so wavy!

    Rust in Santa Fe? It doesn't seem like the climate for much rust. In New England, WE got rust.
