Please Wind Blow!


While out on my walk yesterday evening the smoke from the fire in Arizona starting moving in even more fierce than other days. This is what the sky looked like as I came around the corner. I wish the wind would just take it away but that it would stay away from Arizona. Now we just pray for rain.

    This fire is really causing a lot of devastation to Arizona's eastern forests. Maybe the summer monsoon rains will come soon.

    I know that smoke can create some amazing sky-scenes but am praying that the rains come and the winds die down.

    That fire is in the news more today than previous days. I hear in Albuq they cannot use their swamp coolers because it pulls that smoke inside.

    Hi Randy,
    sorry I've been gone awhile w/ my family visiting... have not/may not be blogging as much for a while. i've got several similar pics of orangey suns, red sliver moons & smokey atmosphere. It seems it has been rolling in the past 3 nights or so like clockwork. I read today they don't think it will be out until the rains come in July. So, yes, pray for rain! Hope you are well.

    Nice picture Randy, but sad situation. I am praying that you will get heavy rains. I will be coming to Sante Fe this fall and hope that these nasty fires do not spread to your wonderful city.
