The rustic doors do look really cool. I am interested in the window shutters. That is a window, no? Is the place boarded up while the owners are away? Those stick and branch shutters are one of a kind.
This one is tack sharp and those adobe colors really do contrast nicely with the blue sky. The aged and the gate are excellent pieces of the composition too.
Great shot. Your perfect Santa Fe style. I like this so much.
ReplyDeleteRandy, I never expected that my last post would be your favorite. O.K. it got the most comments so far.
And I even love the look of the window, if it's a window. Just super! Happy Saturday!
ReplyDeleteQuite a difference indeed. I always like your adobe photos, they look so different from any other building.
ReplyDeletela vieja puerta de atrás, como siempre preciosa la foto

It is a nice glimpse of a rustic building.
ReplyDeleteLooks like the windows are boarded up, too. Wouldn't it be great to know the history of the building and the people who had lived there?
ReplyDeleteWonderful old gate, the many beauties of Santa Fe lie in those old adobes and gates.
ReplyDeletenice shot! that beautiful blue sky sets it off quite nicely!

ReplyDeleteIt does have that worn, weathered look about it - both the door and the building...I like, a lot!
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing how everything in adobe is so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteHave a good Saturday Randy! ;-)

Amazing window treatment, too. Adobe homes are so unique.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a wonderful shot - and definitely represents the Santa Fe that I love.
ReplyDeleteNeedless to say I love it! :-)
ReplyDeleteYou have some great old buildings in Santa Fe
ReplyDeletePerfect composition, so nicely balanced. These old adobe doors and windows are fabulous.
ReplyDeleteI'm torn...I like the age of this gate, but it's just screaming for some of that beautiful Santa Fe blue paint. Preservation is a good thing too.
ReplyDeleteIt's hard to imagine this ever having been new, but it's more beautiful this way.
