It's the first of the month and another Theme Day has come to City Daily Photo. Today's theme is My Favorite Part of Town. When I first came to Santa Fe the first place I visited was Canyon Road. I love all the old houses and all of the art galleries that line this historic road. Maybe from all my post you've already gathered that. But I had to share it again, it is one of the loves of my life.
Please take sometime to visit all the wonderful photographers and their favorite part of their cities. Click here to view thumbnails for all participants
j'aime beaucoup aussi cette architecture, que je decouvre avec tes posts.
ReplyDeleteI like this as well Randy
ReplyDeleteThe tiny steps covered with snow :)
I can see why this appeals to you! Would't mind a stroll there myself. Have a great Tuesday, Randy!
ReplyDeleteFor what I see and have seen from your past pictures, an easy place to like!
ReplyDeleteExcellent choice, Randy! I don't think that you could top Canyon Road for best choice of favorite spot. Lots to choose from while walking through that neighborhood. Have a good month!!
ReplyDeleteRandy, I am familiar with Canyon Road from a visit to SF and would have to agree with you... It is lovely with an abundance of art!

ReplyDeleteHey, I recognize those walls from past photos... :)
ReplyDeleteNatural beauty, architectural beauty, and artistic beauty all in the same area, a perfect choice.
ReplyDeleteIt was a pleasure to follow you through all the art galleries!

Very nice Randy!
ReplyDeleteI like what Sharon said. She sums it up nicely. This seems to be the part of town that has stolen your heart...understandably.

Great shot, Randy.... love the footprints in the bottom of the frame. You're reminding me it's time to get out & walk the town on my next day off. Sometimes I get caught up in work/school/grocery store & forget all the wonderful places to get out & walk... and window shop. :)
ReplyDeleteI would have guessed this one! And can't blame you for loving this area of town.
ReplyDeleteGreat choice! That would be one of my favourite places if I lived there too.
ReplyDeleteFrom all I've seen on this blog I really understand why this is your favourite part of town.
ReplyDeleteThis is particularly lovely with the steps (in the snow and the stairs!)
ReplyDeleteI *have* noticed!:-)
it is a wonderful part of your town and I have enjoyed all the pics that you have shown us from this area. I hope to see it in real life one day!
ReplyDeleteLooks interesting! I love the tones in this shot!
ReplyDeleteThat is a wonderful area to live. You are so fortunate to be able to walk such an artistic and historic area.
ReplyDeleteI see why you love the road! It's great having so many art galleries together on one road.
ReplyDeleteI always like seeing the bright pops of color mixed in with the earth tones of your area.
ReplyDeleteI agree, Randy. Canyon Road is a pretty special place. I usually stay near the plaza but get to Canyon Road on the second day.
ReplyDeleteLovely photo and a lovely story to go with it.
ReplyDeleteVery unique to Santa Fe. Must be a fun place to explore. I like going back to familiar haunts again and again, because there is usually something new, or an angle I hadn't seen before.
ReplyDeleteNice. Think I could love it there too.
ReplyDeleteLike the footprint in the snow:)
It is beautiful and again, wonderful contrast with the snow.
ReplyDeleteDo you still have your house in Bisbee? You live/lived in two great artists communities!
The snow makes it extra special.
ReplyDeleteI think I do remember your fondness for Canyon Road...and I do remember all the shots you've taken of that shots and galleries on that road with fondness!
