This is one of my favorite walls in town. I would love to see the home that lies behind it and the gardens in the Spring. This is one of the oldest parts of the city and one of the most expensive ones too. So for me it's like window shopping.
I understand you like this place ! I like the old door, and that makes us curious !... I also like your environment, from here it looks like a beautiful decoration of cinema ! :))
This looks like REAL adobe instead of the cement kind. Hang around until the owners emerge and then ask for an photo shoot. Guess that advice isn't too practical, but I hope that someday you make it inside!
Ah, beautiful shot, Randy. Window shopping, indeed! I dream of a house on the hill and watching fabulous sunsets every night... ands the thunderstorms & lightning in the summer. Dare to dream, right?! Happy midweek!
We once looked at a home for sale like this in Borrego Springs CA. Open those doors and we were greeted with a large fountain in the courtyard, a swimming pool off to the left and the house and living area to the right all open to the courtyard. I almost had the wife willing to move. Almost...
Oh wow..i just want to push that door further open and go inside,
ReplyDeleteSee what is behind :)
Very good photo!
en effet c'est un beau mur, surtout avec la neige, il ressort bien
ReplyDeleteYou created a wonderful Santa Fe Daily Photo Style. Outstanding.
ReplyDeleteThanks Randy.
I half expect to see an indian family coming out the door to cook their meal over an open fire, wrapped in mexican-indian blankets!
ReplyDeleteSnow becomes adobe so well!
ReplyDeleteThis looks so 'real', just as it is!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful scene... It looks like a painting with the old weathered doors and walls with much history. Great capture, Randy
ReplyDeleteBises,
G
You're right, it's very beautiful, specially with all the snow!
ReplyDeleteHave a great day Randy!
That looks like a photo which could hang in a gallery - great, Randy in a Jeep!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I agree. This would be one of my favorites also. The snow and adobe...great.
ReplyDeleteThis is just gorgeous. I don't blame you for window shopping here.

ReplyDeleteOh this is wonderful! It reminds my of a sort of Secret Garden entrance....except without all the foliage. (That is one of my favorite books!)
ReplyDeleteMaybe you could shimmy over and capture whatever lays beyond?
(please?)
;)
Yes, this is just lovely. Those old doors are wonderful.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photo. I agree with all the other comments, so rustic and so real, the snow really sets it off.

ReplyDeleteIt looks very authentic and appealing, doesn't it, Randy?
ReplyDeleteI can completely see why that would bring on a curiosity on what is beyond! Pretty shot too.
ReplyDeleteRandy, one of my favorites! I love Santa Fe. It is good to get to 'visit' via your posts.

ReplyDeleteReally weird to see this stye of architecture in snow. I always associate it with hot, dusty weather!
