Hike #3


You'll want to click on this one for a better view. While up on the Atalaya trail you can see Santa Fe to the west but if you look South of where I was you will see the Sandia mountains in the distance. It's the more round looking one. At the base of the mountain is Albuquerque which is an hours drive from here.

As, form the road , I thought that Albuquerque is more distant of Santa Fe, I am amazed how well you see Sandia Mt. from this Atalaya Trail! A very nice photo!

I wanted to say what a delightful photo this is...magnificent, actually...can see almost all the way to Albuquerque! Amazing. I love the mountains. You're fortunate to have such a wonderful place to hike.

Are your mountains part of the Sangre de Cristo chain?
