Cheer up, Spring is almost here. Soon this bench will have people sitting on it enjoying warmer weather but not now. If you do you could end up with wet pants.
A nice lovely catch! It must be so great to be surrounded with all these pretty colors all the time.. It surprises me though that there is a chain and lock..to keep it there.. Wishing you a wonderful thursday Randy :)
Great to see the matching door and bench. Maxed the photo to see the very nice carving and noted the chain and lock...too bad that's necessary these days. If you're really "into benches" you need to see VJ's blog, "A Bunch of Benches" at http://abunchofbenches.blogspot.com/
With that kind of color around there, it must inspire cheerful moods/days! I hope to get there some day and see it all for myself in person. I especially want to check out adobe buildings, not something you see around here.
For those who have asked, the bench is chained up to keep it from being stolen. There are benches here that cost quite a bit especially if the carver comes from a long line of family carvers.
A nice lovely catch!

ReplyDeleteOh, dear, not much longer for spring, I hope!
ReplyDeleteI would obviously like this for my benches!
ReplyDeleteThat seat is Kind of Blue,,,M
ReplyDeleteThere is just something about this color that is so appealing.
ReplyDeleteI think that Santa Fe has cornered the market on this intense shade of blue... It is beautiful against the whiteness of the snow...

This blue bench is so sweet and it is perfect with the door!
ReplyDeleteLovely composition shot!

ReplyDeleteSanta Fe has so much of this gorgeous blue. I wonder why . . .
ReplyDeletePlaying with color is always fun and interesting! Like your photo...
ReplyDeleteAhhhh...color! Is that really color? (I fell like my eyes don't work in color anymore- all I see is white...)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful bench.
Such wonderful contrast. Now I will always think of this shade of blue as Santa Fe Blue. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm breathing and relaxing. Thanks for your kind words.
I'd just sweep off the snow & have a seat!
ReplyDeleteI love the color theme in Santa Fe!
Hope your classes are going well.
:)
I'll be looking for the "Now" photo in a few weeks!
ReplyDeleteYes, Randy really waiting for Spring. Nice shot, love the blue with the snow.
ReplyDeleteFabulous colors! Snow looks a bit foreign, though. I did play golf yesterday. Probably shouldn't tell you this but it was in the low 80s.
ReplyDeleteSpring will soon be here.
The color and shapes are so pleasing to look at.
ReplyDeleteWhoa! It must have been very cold. I believe that bench is shivering!
ReplyDeleteOh I love this! The brilliant blue plus the chilly sheet of white..great
ReplyDeletethis is beautiful Randy - that blue and the snow ! love it ! spring is coming !! in a few days ! I hope so !

Definitely brightens up a winterscape!
ReplyDeleteUnless of course you walk around in oilskins.
ReplyDeleteI know someone who is going to "steal" this one! It's lovely!
I never tire of looking at these blues against the adobe walls. Fantastic!
ReplyDeleteI love that color blue! Ahem... don't I always say that? Well, I do. AND the bench!
ReplyDeleteThe color in Santa Fe always fascinates me. Wonderful shot.
ReplyDeleteVery nice, Randy! Why is that bench chained? Could the winter take it away? :)
ReplyDeleteAnd nobody wants wet pants - I just hate that!
ReplyDeleteLove the blue and adobe mix!
There's your blue again! Nice shot.

ReplyDeleteI agree very Santa Fe blue!!!
ReplyDeleteA beautiful hue of blue, made all the handsomer by the clean line of the snow. A Blue Ribbon photo!
