El Nicho is a wonderful little shop in the downtown area. It's full of work by local artisans. The first things that attracted me to this place was the color of these old doors. Happy Saturday everyone!
Love those colors! You see a lot of that of course in South America. I tend to think if we all painted our doors bright colors we'd be a lot happier. Just a theory.
Again a wonderful shot. Blue doors are great, so wellcoming. We had a blue garden gate in our old place, it was the only one here. It's not popular in Germany.
"Nicho" en español significa el hueco donde se guarda el ataúd , pero en este caso está más relacionado con el hueco para guardar un objeto decorativo. Muy curioso.
You do live in a place with incredible blue doors, Randy! No wonder you are drawn to Paris... you and your camera would have a field day with blue doors!

Very pretty, this is the kind of place that springs to mind when I think of Santa Fe (though I only know it through your blog!)
ReplyDeleteMissed this one. With all the visual images one encounters in Santa Fe, one has to stay alert. You're right about the doors.

ReplyDeleteLovely place. The name means something like 'alcove', which in Italian is almost the same: 'nicchia'.

ReplyDeleteI want 75 degrees and sunshine. But it's cold again. Darn!

That is lovely! Such a great combinations of colours. It is an adobe building, right?
ReplyDeleteLove that blue. I agree with L.D.
ReplyDeleteThat is a great entrance way. The colors are great and so is the architecture. Looks VERY Southwestern.
ReplyDeleteYou have to love a business that puts the spotlight on local artisans too.
They definitely have the feel for color. I would have rushed there, too

ReplyDeleteEspecially those old farm doors!
Maybe it's the smell! Ha!
